DIY Homemade Edible Play Dough – A great Ramadan activity for kids

Winter Break Morning Activity

We made Playdough this morning.
The kids were involved and are enjoying their self-made playdough.

It is so therapeutic for them!! Total calmness since last 20 minutes! Lol!

Recipe for playdough
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 corn starch
1/4 cup salt
1 cup boiling water
2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
2 tablespoons oil

Mix it all with hand or food processor/mixer. I used my Kitchenaid mixer. A

Add food coloring at the end.
You can add Acrylic or Watercolor/tempra colors too. I added food coloring because I have toddlers!

Ever had Playdough Pizza and French fries? mmmmmmmm good!

Then they made cupcakes with Snowflake Sprinkles!! YUM!!!

I found this recipe to be extremely pilable and soo smooth and soft to work with.

It did not leave sticky residue and I covered my carpets with sheets so no messy carpets! WIN WIN for both parties.

I hope you enjoyed this post and make your own play dough with the kids. They will enjoy the process of making it and play time will give them plenty of Fine Motor skills as Toddlers.
